The Business Division for Purchasing is responsible for the acquisition of products and services for the UKE.

The Division for Procurement Management is responsible for the following:

• Medical supplies
• Investment-related commodities
• Diagnostic and research supplies
• Operating requirements
• Service and fee-based contracts, procurement of services
• Contracting management and contractual management

All procurement procedures are based on innovative, qualitative and economic analysis, to guarantee the best possible level of patient care.

The UKE places particular emphasis on the acquisition of products that help optimize the implementation of daily hospital procedures and which can be applied in all medical departments and medical centers.
