Former Research Group Zeller

We are proud to announce that in January 2025 Prof. Dr. Tanja Zeller took on a new position as Head of the prestigious Institute for Cardiogenetics in Lübeck. Part of her research group went to Lübeck with her. We are happy that she will stay with us in the DZHK North and continue our close collaboration.

Research Focus and Main research questions

Prof. Dr. Tanja Zeller's research focused on the pathophysiology and molecular mechanisms of cardiovascular diseases using genetic-molecular, biological, epidemiological, and bioinformatics and statistical methods. Combined in systems medicine approaches, they aimed at identifying regulatory networks and molecularly characterizing candidate genes. In large-scale, genome-wide association and expression analyses, the group investigated the relationship between genetic variants and cardiovascular phenotypes/biomarkers, as well as gene expression and additional omics data.
