Shinwan Kany is a Cardiologist in Training at the University Heart and Vascular Centre Hamburg in Hamburg Germany and a Visiting Scientist at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard and the Cardiovascular Research Center of the Massachusetts General Hospital. He got his MD from the University of Frankfurt in Germany and his MSc in health economics and management from the London School of Economics in the United Kingdom. He spent 2 years as a postdoctoral fellow with Patrick Ellinor studying the genetics of heart disease and developing deep learning algorithms for the prediction of heart disease using ECG and MRI data. He is interested in heart failure and arrhythmias and their overlap.
