Interdisciplinary tumor conference

  • The interdisciplinary tumor boards of the Hubertus Wald Tumor Center - UCCH bring together specialists from the various disciplines involved in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients. For each patient with a tumor disease, an individual treatment strategy is discussed and recommended by the relevant disciplines on the basis of the medical history and the findings. The basis for these recommendations are standardized treatment guidelines that are developed and regularly updated by interdisciplinary working groups (the “task forces”) of the Hubertus Wald Tumor Center for each type of tumor. These groups also decide whether a patient is eligible for treatment in a modern clinical study. Our goal is to provide our tumor patients with the best possible care, based on a standardized approach that meets internationally recognized and scientifically rigorous guidelines.

    Registration of internal patients

UKE internal patients can be registered for the “Tumor Board” via SOARIAN and the corresponding request form. The registration should be entered into the system by 2:00 p.m. the day before. All of the findings required for the discussion (CT images, pathology findings) should be entered in a special mask in the request form, in order to enable the radiology and pathology departments to prepare accordingly. A written declaration of consent is not required for patients treated at the UKE.

Here is an overview of the individual Tumor boards (as of 1/2024)
