Welcome to the Office for Social and Care Counselling at the UKE.
A stay in a hospital can provoke issues that a patient, or a patient’s family, has previously been unfamiliar with. Such stays can be life-changing. It is important that hospital aftercare and the patient’s return to everyday life should be addressed during the inpatient stay.
The staff at the Office for Social and Care Counselling offers individual and personal advice to help patients find solutions to problems stemming from illness or any other aspect of an inpatient stay. Whether you are a patient or the relative of a patient, please feel free to make use of our specialist consultation and advice services. We are here to discuss medical rehabilitation, outpatient or inpatient aftercare, concerns about care levels or available support, reintegration, dealing with severe disabilities, integration support, power of attorney, advanced health directives, support in caring for a sick family member or a person with dementia.
Advice about whether the child or adult unit is the most suitable for your needs can be found on the following pages of our website.
