Hamburg PhD Students Invite to HSII/HCTI Pre-Opening Symposium on September 18, 2024 The PhD students of the Hamburg School of Infection and Immunity (HSII) are excited to invite the scientific community to their annual HSII/HCTI Pre-Opening Symposium, scheduled for September 18, 2024, at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf.
This year’s event will be held in the newly established research building of the Hamburg Center for Translational Immunology (HCTI). Organized by the 2023 class of doctoral students, the symposium will revolve around the theme: “From Students for Students – Rising Stars and New Methods.”
The program promises an engaging day of presentations, featuring international speakers from Italy, Sweden, and Argentina, who will share their latest research developments.

HCTI Opening Symposium on September 18-20
The Hamburg Center for Translational Immunology (HCTI) is proud to announce the International Opening Symposium, set to take place at the heart of the UKE medical campus. This landmark event, focusing on immune-mediated diseases and tissue inflammation, will convene leading experts and researchers from around the world.
The symposium, which will draw an estimated 300 participants, will cover a wide array of topics, ranging from basic and translational research to in silico investigations, exploring both innate and adaptive immunity. The event will feature presentations by internationally recognized speakers, including 12 key representatives from the main HCTI Research Teams, alongside emerging young scientists.
